It's all in a name, and 'Perfect Example' is the name and objective of Perfect Example Ltd which was launched by Tina and Scott Fairhurst in November 2005, after they relocated back home to North Cornwall during the middle of the same year.

Both Scott and Tina have spent many years working within blue chip organisations holding both management and executive positions. They have an extensive range of experience in delivering and managing, the highest standards of service to both individual and household name customers.

Tina Fairhurst
Tina worked for the Rentokil Initial Group, within the Rentokil Pest Control, Initial Washrooms and Rentokil Tropical Plants divisions. She held senior management positions and set up two national accounts departments. Before joining Rentokil Initial, she was an Associate Director for the Southern Business Group.

Scott Fairhurst
Scott also worked for the Rentokil Initial Group, within Rentokil Pest Control and held such positions as Branch Manager, Area Director and latterly he was the Sales & Marketing Director. Before joining Rentokil, Scott held management positions within Cornwall based businesses.

After extensively researching the local domestic cleaning market, it was clear that there was a real requirement for a truly professional company, which could offer high quality domestic services to both private individuals and businesses for their homes or second/holiday homes. This business was finally launched in November 2005 and grew very quickly.

Within the first twelve months, Perfect Example Ltd delivered services to over 150 properties and provided regular services to over 100 properties.

During September 2006, a full property management service for holiday and second homes was launched. This was originally planned for late 2007 but after a lot of customer requests, it was decided to bring the launch forward as the company had the skills, staff and systems already in place.

In 2007 and 2009, we won distinguished business awards which recognised our commitment to the Holiday Home Services market and our diversification into Concierge services.

At the end of 2008, we expanded into our neighbouring second industrial unit which gave us new clean areas to pack and manage our linen and laundry element of our business. We also installed antibacterial dirty linen storage areas as well.

At the beginning of June 2009, our managed portfolio of holiday homes is getting very close to the 100 million pounds level, which is a great achievement and helps underwrite the quality focus that we place on our business and our staff.

November 2005 - Perfect Example was launched.

September 2006 - Our property management service was launched. May 2007 - We won the prestigious title of 'Best New Business in Cornwall 2007' which was open to all new Cornish businesses that had started trading from the 1st June 2005.

July 2007 - Our service area was extended from North Cornwall to cover the Newquay and surrounding areas.

October 2007 - We move to new premises at Wadebridge to manage our expansion with both customers and staff

October 2007 - We sign a manufacturing agreement with Byotrol to make us an own brand detergent sanitiser product that is biodegradable, safe for our customers and staff and overall much more environmentally friendly.

January 2008 - The service area has been extended again to include the other part of Mid Cornwall which includes the St Austell, Fowey, Mevagissey area

March 2008 - Our services have been extended to now include furnishing holiday homes across our service area.

March 2008 - All our laundry is now much more environmentally friendly as it is washed using an Ozone laundry process. This uses less energy, less detergent and increases the life of the linen.

May 2008 - Our latest service aimed at providing lifestyle services to guests and owners of high quality holiday homes and second homes, Holiday Concierge was launched together with a separate supporting website. Another milestone completed in the company's development.

July 2008 - We now manage a property portfolio of £65 million pounds worth of holiday and second homes and we already have advance orders on another £12 million pounds for 2009. In addition to this, we do provide housekeeper services to an undisclosed property portfolio.

September 2008 - We have committed to taking on the industrial unit next door to help us with our expansion. This will help us give us more, much needed space and help us manage our linen and laundry more efficiently.

December 2008 - We have moved into our neighbouring industrial units with excellent clean areas to pack and manage our linen and laundry element of our business. We also installed an antibacterial dirty linen storage area to manage the dirty laundry that we collect from our managed properties.

May 2009 - We have just won another award! This time we have won the best diversification award 2009 at the Cornwall Business Awards.

June 2009 - We are closing in on our self imposed 2009 target of managing over 100 million pounds worth of property.
